With a broad range of civil engineering and construction projects underway,Saad can provide a full turnkey package that ranges from conceptual design to detail and interior design to total construction to handover. Saad’s capacity to undertake a wide range of construction activities – including roads, water supply, marine, electrical mechanical and sewerage works – makes it a formidable competitor in the field. Saad’s contracting division employs highly qualified and experienced management staff in the fields of civil, structural and mechanical engineering, architecture and interior design, as well as several thousands of artisans of all trades. In all it employs in excess of 7,000 people.
The division enjoys a Class 1 certification in building and agricultural works, as well as in the maintenance of electronic works and medical facilities This rating gives Saad the capability to bid for works to a value in excess of SAR500M with no limit.
In parallel, Saad’s philosophy of vertical integration and self sufficiency has enabled it to work on an ‘in-house’ basis at rates far below those set by the market. It also means that quality can be guaranteed.
Current projects include the new state-of-the-art Health Science Centre on the Saad Specialist Hospital campus, together with a 14 storey car park, expansion of Saad’s headquarters in Al-Khobar, construction of a large accommodation facility to accommodate the expanding Saad workforce in Jeddah, and refurbishment works to various Saad properties.
